When you’re ready to take your project from the screen to the page, consider ordering a deluxe sample pack. These are hand-assembled packs that contain recent samples of our work to help you make critical decisions about paper, finish, and binding options. We build deluxe sample packs for all kinds of book printing projects as well as game projects.
We charge $25 to cover shipping and handling for addresses within the US. The $25 is fully refundable when you print with us. Outside of the US? We charge $40 to ship deluxe sample packs to Canada or Mexico or $65 to addresses outside of North America. These costs are fully refundable upon printing with us. International sample packs are shipped with UPS Standard or UPS Worldwide Expedited. Please note: UPS delivery times vary based on destination. While sample packs typically arrive in 7-10 business days, large packages can take up to 2 months to arrive.
To get your deluxe sample pack started, please give us delivery information and sample request details on the form on the right. One of our account managers will then reach out to you by e-mail to ask you more about your project so that they can select the proper samples before confirming payment details. (Please allow up to 24 hours for our account manager to respond, but do expect a response.)
This is an example from a recent request for “art book under 60 pages” samples. It included three samples (two perfect bound and one casebound) and our paper sample pack, as well as some gratuitous schwag.
The “Paper Samples” booklet is a very special resource! It contains samples of each of our paper weights in a variety of coatings so that you can feel for yourself which paper option is best for your project. It also contains valuable setup and layout information to make your project just a little easier.
Every page is a different weight and coating combination! The front of each page contains drawings and photographs – we repeat the same images on the front side of every page so that you can see how different coatings (uncoated, gloss, matte) might impact your artwork. On the back side of pages, we show tips as well as samples of other processes – spot UV, foil stamping, etc. It’s the best way to see how some of our specialty options might look on your project!
We hand-select two to three sample projects for each packet. We reach out to you to confirm what kind of samples you’d like to see and what, if any, specialty option sheets we should send along. We’ll do our best to get you samples that will help you understand what your final product will be. Each sample that we send will have paper and printing details on each project are included on labels like the one above. That lets you decide whether you’d like your project to have the same or slightly different specifications.
